This book marks one hundred and fifty years   wildfowling on the Ribble Estuary in Lancashire and was written to commemorate Lytham & District Wildfowlers Association Golden Jubilee 1954-2004.

This estuary is one of the three most important wildfowl and wader grounds in the British Isles and the author's forefathers shot and fished it back in the days of the muzzle loader.

Their tales, passed down over the generations, make fascinating reading and the author's nose for a good story has resulted in a book that is full of wonderful pieces of history.

Most of its content had never been revealed and much of it tells of life before we were ruled by bureaucrats.
